Abstract

The subject of this essay is the Evaluation alternatives to assess the Skills with Performance Criterion in Language and Literature for children in the fifth year of Basic General Education, whose objective is to analyze the Evaluation alternatives that identify the real state in which they are each student through the study of theoretical foundations, improving the teaching-learning process. Therefore, to demonstrate the achievement of the students, their skills, capacities and potentialities required that at the end of the school year they should have developed. In this essay, two aspects are raised that the teacher must consider, the different evaluation strategies and the methodological conceptions of the constructivist approach of Piaget, Ausubel and Vigotsky. For this, it is necessary for teachers to use appropriate methods that generate quality education; favoring the student's academic performance and fulfilling the objectives set out in the national curriculum and in the constructivist approach, which is based on the interaction between the subject and the object. Since, the evaluation of learning allows knowing the difficulties that students present to correct them, in which teachers use didactic strategies such as the portfolio where each activity carried out by the student is evidenced throughout the school year and, in addition, allows excellent feedback, improving the development of skills with performance criteria that allow optimizing the education and academic performance of children in the fifth year of Basic General Education.
