Evaluación psicológica en el adulto mayor estudio de caso depresivo

Abstract

The present work consists of two parts, the first is based on the bibliographic research of psychological pathologies in the elderly, the importance of physical and mental health, diagnostic criteria; the second part is based on the empirical application of psychological instruments such as: deep interview, observation through the life history of the subject; Through bibliographic research, it was determined that the adult stage is accompanied by changes at a cognitive, physical and psychological level, highlighting the importance of physical and mental health; each plays an important role in the adult stage. In the adult stage, the family plays a fundamental role, on this depends the capacities to cope with changes, in addition to the analysis of the individual's case focused on the experiences using psychological instruments to collect significant data on the pathology and identify the symptoms In order to relate them to the categories proposed by different authors: attachment, locus of control, hope, motives, coherence, resilience and self-efficacy, the interview was carried out to know the different stages of the subject's personological development from childhood to adulthood. After corroborating the symptoms presented by the subject through the bibliography and case analysis, the definitive diagnosis was reached, which is depression, being one of the most common psychological disorders in adulthood, it can be caused by health problems, experiences childhood, traumatic events, drastic change or the non-acceptance of a new stage.
