Abstract

This research work is aimed at mitigating the negative effects that the SARS-COV-2 (COVID-19) virus has caused on the economy and productivity of MSMEs, especially at the business premises Details Men located in the Pasaje canton of the province of El Oro, in such a way that an analysis of the external and internal factors of the aforementioned business has been carried out, in order to establish strategies that allow Details Men to continue with its activities and not close its doors in the face of the difficult situation that The world is living, as this new virus has forced people to remain in quarantine within their homes for approximately four months, thus paralyzing the activities of businesses that are not dedicated to selling basic food and pharmaceuticals. Due to this, the income of most businesses was affected and in some cases they have had to lay off half of their employees due to lack of financial resources. To counteract these effects, the strengths, opportunities, weaknesses and threats of the business have been taken into account and strategies have been developed that allow Details Men to continue with its operation, having to restructure the corporate values, mission and vision and the use of the social networks as support and a new strategic source of promotion and sales. With the results obtained, which have been positive, this research will help MSMEs to better face the health emergency caused by COVID-19.
