Complicaciones durante el segundo y tercer trimestre de gestacion por sars-cov-2

Abstract

Objective: To establish the complications that occur in pregnant women during the second and third trimesters due to SARS COV2 through the bibliographic review of scientific articles for the timely diagnosis and to reduce morbidity and mortality in 2020. Materials and Method: A bibliographic review of indexed scientific publications related to complications in pregnant women infected with COVID-19 was carried out, all published in 2020. Results: The bibliographic review allowed us to recognize that in the presence of COVID-19 in pregnant women, cough, myalgia, fever, chest pain and headache may occur. It was found that studies indicate that in the third trimester it can cause premature rupture of membranes, premature labor and fetal distress, it is necessary to provide oxygen supply to improve maternal oxygenation during labor. Conclusion: From the bibliographic review, the main complications that pregnant women with COVID-19 present were identified, highlighting the importance of maintaining preventive measures to avoid contagion, in health centers having biosafety protocols.
