La fotonovela como herramienta para la educación de valores en los niños en la Escuela Luz de América en Machala

Abstract

The reality that our country faces today in the educational field is the lack of education in values, often there are cases that show the low morale of students and even society in general. Faced with this crisis, teachers have chosen to implement strategies that facilitate and motivate the child to learn in a simple and easy way the essence of human values, since inducing the child from an early age in the understanding and practice of values, the correct formation of his personality is achieved, which guarantees having a pleasant social life in an environment of peace and harmony with those around him. For this reason, the present investigation is focused on identifying the degree of values in children with the objective of analyzing the photonovel as a tool to strengthen the education of values in children. According to it, the modality of the investigation is of qualitative type, with which it is proceeded to the bibliographical revision of the theoretical references associated with the study topic, whose methodology makes use of instruments that allow to collect the pertinent information for the development of the work, for the systematization of experiences a didactic workshop was carried out as technique of intervention with the students of the seventh of basic of the school Luz de América; Regarding the instruments used, the results of the research were gathered, such as the interview directed to both parents and teachers of the educational institution Luz de América. The answers provided by both sources allowed determining fundamental aspects regarding the formation of values and the photonovel. With this technique, the students developed their creativity, demonstrating also the acquired learning which was captured in the photonovels that the students elaborated. With what was mentioned above, it is possible to conclude that values are essential in the formation of children since they contribute to the strengthening and construction of good habits that allow them to live harmoniously with others. It is also important that educational institutions promote values as a fundamental part of education. Likewise, the photo story in education tends to be an optimal tool for teachers and at the same time it is a didactic strategy, since it captures the attention of children with its content and presentation format, thus improving the learning process to a great extent. Therefore, it is evident that when children interact with techniques that capture their attention, they retain the information better and at the same time their creativity and form of expression improves in a great sense.Finally, it is important to highlight that, as far as the results obtained after the application of the didactic workshop are concerned, the children's acceptance and enthusiasm is highlighted, as they know that the photonovel, besides being a means of communication, can also be used as a didactic tool for the teaching of different educational topics, in this case, the values
