Abstract

This title work called "A Different Look at Animal Abuse Through Performance", is primarily aimed at showing a social problem in a different way. It's about animal abuse, where it is sought to exhibit it in an un everyday way, for this it makes use of an artistic manifestation such as performance. This is an ephemeral art that has greater strength when in artistic representation the individual reacts and interacts with it. In order to do so, it was essential to thoroughly address this problem. In the content of the investigation you can find the various ways in which man's mistreatment of animals is continually shown, evidence with concrete facts that have aroused within Ecuador, it is very regrettable to appreciate this type of information through newspapers, where some cases of abuse are for profit. When talking about abuse, reference is made to abandonment, poisoning, hit-and-run with motor vehicles, inhumane treatment in agribusinesses in consumer animals, pet buying and selling, wildlife marketing, there are many causes of abuse that occur and are not given due importance. It is this reality that is not taken very into account that is sought to show through real-time artistic intervention in the face of society, waiting for the individual to react to it. Human beings being a heavy being with the capacity to discern between good and bad deeds, is the main aggressor. The development of the artistic proposal was carried out in the canton of Santa Rosa, where the individual's reaction plays an important role around performance development. Art allows human beings to manifest themselves in various ways, but for a good representation research is necessary, It is good to verify all the information, in this way you will be able to have optimal results that respond according to the need in terms of the theme and the problem. This intervention consists of the participation of 5 people, where 4 of them carry out different tours by veterinarians and third also a person emitted sounds of animals in the sidewalk of the main entrance of the market. The performance has the purpose of evaluating the reactions to the problem, to verify what is the value that is given when we deal with a topic about animals, will it be that there is a probability of causing an impact or it will go unnoticed in front of society. What will be the action of the individual, what will be the causes that lead the human being to act in an anthropocentric way, always putting their needs first, before those of the animals. It is important to consider that animals have the right to well-being, to have a home, to receive care, love and health. The work is exhibited in real time and through a virtual platform, being able to verify the reactions online and live. In addition, photographic records of the work will be shown that show acting live in this situation, culminating in a critical approach.
