Propuesta artística fotográfica sobre la violencia de género en tiempos de pandemia

Abstract

The present research work shows the interest of a problem that stalks the female gender, we talk about violence against women that has become a social problem that seems to have no end; with the arrival of the Covid-19 the numbers of women attacked by their spouses increased, this is where the interest in the research process is born and thus be able to address from the art to such an unpleasant problem. Women have a constant struggle, against the dominance of men for many centuries, has been characterized as the weak sex, their participation in social, political or artistic is also affected. It is an intolerant path that women had to go through in order to achieve an intervention in the decision making process that in their times was denied to them, such as: suffrage. Currently, women are affected by the increase in violence that has been generated during the quarantine period, the percentages are more notable and worrying. Observing from this perspective, research is carried out in the artistic field, where women according to Art History heve had little involvement as artist, their image and figure is enhanced in the works of art, that is, artists used the women as a figuration for their works, both classic and modern. Another factor that is addressed in this study is the historicity of the camera and its progress which is a technological aspect with which to address the artistic proposal, and in this sense, was a key piece within the art, because photography assumes an important role in the period of art and that many artists through photography do their work to legitimize the objectivity that presents on reality, this facilitated the work of many visual artists with which they managed to capture every detail that for the human eye went unnoticed. Through photography, which is a means of communication to reflect what is happening around us, the artistic process was achieved through the problems that surround us today. With a critical and reflective character, this title work tries to make known how terrible gender violence is in every social, cultural and religious status, in many cases the abuse ends in a femicide. Faced with this problem, the creation of an artistic work is proposed, where the abuse of women is clearly reflected. This research is timely, because it will reinforce the doubts obtained in the face of the problems and chaos it causes, so that the artistic product will serve as the basis for the results achieved during the process. For a better understanding of the reader, this research work is structured in several chapters that specify the research project and its methodological bases: In chapter I, the conception of the artistic object is considered, which is distributed in Conceptualization and Contextualization of the artistic object, points where they reflect antecedents of the investigated subject and the maximum artistic exponents that help the process of creation of the work. Therefore, in chapter II, the definition and theoretical foundation of the work is addressed, which is discussed as a reference to the artistic movements that have been used in the project, in addition to defining the artistic proposal and some definitions of trandestal authors that comfort the research Also in chapter III, the pre-production, production and final edition of the work is established, a process of compilation of ideas was developed from the previous sketches to the completion of the artistic proposal. To finish the chapter IV, it indicates the critical approach of the proposal, a critical and reflexive opinion is manifested with scientific arguments that give value to the work, giving way to the conclusions acquired during the whole research process.
