Contaminación del agua por producción porcina y su influencia en la salud de los habitantes del sector la aldea Marcabelí

Abstract

The objective of this research work is to determine the influence of water pollution on the health of the inhabitants of the La Aldea sector of the Marcabelí canton due to pig production, in this way to implement environmental protection measures and health care, through the proposal for the application of public awareness measures. Water is an indispensable resource for the subsistence of individuals, both that used for human consumption and that used for irrigation or the various water sources that serve as a source of recreation. Water pollution produces numerous diseases associated with the digestive system, most of them diarrheal diseases that have generally not been linked to the consumption of these waters due to a lack of investigation regarding their cause. Within the research framework, this writing was based on a qualitative approach through documentary review in various scientific platforms such as Redalyc, Scielo and Dialnet that serve to understand the subject. In the same way, the narrative method is used, which allows to analyze, synthesize and organize the information obtained in the collection of information. Bibliographic research determines the existence of a high risk of water contamination due to pig production. In the same way, there is evidence of a great relationship between water quality, health and sustainable development, which means that keeping the various water ecosystems
