Abstract

Through the allocation of resources it is sought to identify an optimal allocation of a fixed amount of resources to activities and in this way minimize the cost incurred by the allocation. The general objective of this research is: To determine a linear programming model for optimization in the allocation of resources in an industrial company. The work methodology responds to a descriptive research where the object of study is analyzed as it is presented, without any type of manipulation in the study variables. The research is also documentary, because it is based on consulting bibliographic sources, document managers, scientific publications, virtual libraries, books, reports, etc. The case analyzed corresponds to the company ACUATECNOLY S.A. that seeks to achieve greater competitiveness from the minimization of its costs. The results of the investigation showed that the two branches of the company must operate for 1.56 days, in this way they will obtain a minimum cost of $ 31.2. Based on this information, company managers will be able to make the most appropriate decisions, achieving greater productivity and competitiveness.
