Abstract

In the world context, women are still listed as someone inferior to the side of men, this scenario has not been different in our country, or in our province. At present, the involvement of women has been seen in spaces where a male figure used to predominate, but despite this, their image is still invisible in society. This research paper is about the participation of women in news spaces. The news events remain the main source of information and the most relevant in terms of dissemination. The approach that was used is the qualitative one, applying the triangulation of techniques, bibliographic review that provided theoretical arguments to the project, on the other hand, interviews were conducted with professionals in the communication branch, basically to have professional points of view and contrast that information with The first technique. Finally, through an analysis matrix that was prepared by Genesis Garcés and adapted with variables from a Global Media Project, Orenses television news is monitored to determine the level of participation of women in the two media news, where results are obtained that are compared against the male participation which allows to show a lower participation. Thus the process for this analysis was carried out where the news that women starred in was analyzed. The results obtained show participation percentages of women in contrast to men.
