Proteccion de la infancia en el derecho ecuatoriano.

Abstract

The protection of the rights of children and adolescents constitutes a current problem since they guarantee the continuity of our species and its legacy. In the Republic of Ecuador, work has been done systematically with the establishment of public norms and policies that guarantee their security and integral development. The objective of this article is the systematization of information about the treatment that the right to a life without violence in childhood and adolescence has received in Ecuadorian legislation and public policies, which is considered important since it contributes to awareness and emergence of innovative ideas and a different mindset to combat violence against children. Theinvestigation carried out allowed us to conclude that the current system of protection of children's rights in Ecuador, fails to provide a comprehensive response to children and adolescents in the different contexts in which they operate, identifying the poor functionality of their legal system and the need in the normative scope of the creation of a legal support attached to the reality of children in the country, that is efficient and agile in the resolution of conflicts and the organization of the aid that children and adolescents who have been victims of violation of their rights
