Abstract

Bank reserve refers to the percentage of money that the Central Bank of Ecuador freezes or immobilizes banks and other entities of the national financial system, money from bank deposits; These become part of the liquid reserves that are intended to guarantee the money of depositors in case of any economic setback by the financial institution. The purpose of this work is to: Identify the banking reserve that the country has maintained in the last 20 years and its impact on the national financial sector from dollarization in the year 2000 to the present date. For the elaboration of this work the descriptive, documentary, analytical-synthetic methodology has been used, based on scientific articles that will show how the Central Bank of Ecuador has regulated the national financial system in order to maintain a good economic development in these Last two decades. As a result of this research work, it will be demonstrated whether the banking reserve in Ecuador has contributed positively in keeping the internal economy stabilized.
