Vulnerabilidad sísmica de la Unidad Educativa Dr. Manuel A. González aplicando la metodología fema 154 y Normativa Ecuatoriana de Construcción

Abstract

The present work has as an approach Evaluate the seismic modification of a block of the educational unit Dr. Manuel A. González belonging to the Passage canton of the Province of El Oro, this evaluation is based on an RVS Rapid Visualization Test proposed by the Agency Federal for Emergency Management Federal Agency for Emergency Management FEMA P-154 aimed at 17 types of structures established in the 5 levels of seismic regions categorized by the methodology. The scoring system is based on an algebraic sum of values belonging to the rating modifiers proposed by the catalog, the final result will be compared with the basic score of 2, this being a maximum value in the measurement of buildings with poor performance. Seismic and which should be considered for a more thorough structural evaluation of the property, those results with a value greater than the basic score have a better seismic performance. However, within the evaluation form there are some qualification parameters that involve the presence of risks that may be affected by the internal and external structural threats of the property. The application of the FEMA P-154 methodology will be supported by the application of the Ecuadorian Standard for Seismic Risk Construction, Evaluation, Rehabilitation of Structures NEC-SE-RE, in the norm of Seismic Hazard and Earthquake Resistant Design (EC- SE-DS, since the determination of the seismic region of the United States has other considerations for finding the acceleration response values in rock.
