Abstract

The primary sector in Ecuador is one of the main drivers of the country's economy, the export of products to the countries of the world is one of the most important activities that have been carried out for many years as a way of contributing to the national economy. This sector is made up of several activities that include agriculture, livestock, mining, aquaculture, beekeeping, fishing, logging and forestry; These are productive activities or are responsible for generating the raw material that is used in the preparation of many items inside or outside the country. It is important that there is a strict control of the management of these activities, a constant planning of the processes that must be carried out to successfully complete each action must be carried out, likewise there must be a quality control of the equipment and products that are used in the development of these; as long as there is no excessive expense, that is, looking for methods that make it possible to meet the requirements with the least use of resources or the minimum cost. In this case, an exercise is proposed that requires determining the number of substances that must be purchased to feed chickens on a farm, satisfying a diet of 15 units of a substance A and another 15 of a substance B. This must be accomplished using the minimum cost possible.
