Abstract

The canton Santa Rosa, has generated a problem about the pollution suffered by the river caused by the inhabitants of the town, due to certain irresponsibilities of the mining companies, agricultural sector, livestock, avulla, shrimp, They use chemical products and throw solid, liquid waste in which it becomes a link of infections such as viruses, fungi, metals and are harmful to human health and the ecosystem. The perception of the citizens emphasizes that the authorities have not presented themselves to solve this problem that has occurred years ago, causing discomfort to the citizens who live near the river banks giving an affectation to the environment The general objective is to determine the social problems that cause environmental effects generated by mining and agricultural activities whose impact has generated pollution and discomfort in the inhabitants that live on the banks of the Santa Rosa River. It is proposed to find a solution to reduce pollution and take care of our environment in which we live. One of the strategies is to conduct talks, campaigns, mingas to avoid the contamination of the rivers and to become aware of what happened to the river.
