Abstract

Personality is composed of traits in which thoughts, feelings, beliefs and behaviors that are enduring over time are immersed and identifies each individual of other people, In addition, they are flexible and adaptive to the environment in which the individual develops. When these personality traits are inflexible they appear over time and, on the contrary, there are pathological cognitive schemes, altered thoughts, adaptive beliefs, cognitive distortions, which leads the human being to have behaviors that do not match the social environment in which he develops and all this significantly affects the life of the individual, You can say that this person suffers a personality disorder. This research will address a clinical case where a diagnosis is assumed from the DSM5 manual, in addition, we will talk about the psychopathology of the diagnosed disorder and the cognitive behavioral model through the literature review of scientific articles in indexed journals.
