El paso del dinero electrónico en el Ecuador.

Abstract

The purpose of this work is to analyze the effects that electronic money has had on the Monetary and Financial System in Ecuador. Its source of information is: the Monetary and Financial Code, the Central Bank of Ecuador and academic research articles indexed in different scientific journals. It has a non-experimental design of the problem posed and with a descriptive scope. Developed in a macro, meso and micro way; of the different indicators displaced from the main theme. This investigation concluded that electronic money failed to fulfill the purpose proposed by the State through the Central Bank, which was the economic inclusion of disadvantaged sectors, hoping that since it took the reins of this means of accumulation of money and payment, private banking can reach the sectors that were proposed from the beginning.
