Abstract

Introduction: The stroke also known as silent disease of the century, caused by alteration of the surface of the brain that is affected temporarily or persistently by decreased blood circulation, affecting one or more cerebral blood structures. The complications of stroke can lead to the patient suffering from disabilities and as a result of this dependence on the people around them; Therefore, the participation of a multidisciplinary health team is required. Case presentation: 83-year-old patient with a medical diagnosis of primary Arterial Hypertension, Cerebrovascular Event (intracranial hemorrhage), sequelae of cerebrovascular event, hemiplegia and dysarthria; with hemodynamically stable vital signs. General Objective: To analyze the clinical case of an 83-year-old patient with a diagnosis of stroke secondary to arterial hypertension, through bibliographic review and clinical history, for nursing care planning NANDA, NIC, NOC based on the theory of Virginia Henderson . Method: Bibliographic review of scientific articles updated 5 years ago (2014-2019) published in electronic journals such as: Scielo, Dialnet, Redalyc, MEDLINE and in the databases of the Technical University of Machala such as: Scopus, E-Book and The care plans were based on the NNconsult online tool which contains the standardized diagnoses of NANDA, NIC and NOC.
