Abstract

The European Union was born after the Second World War with the need to end conflicts between neighboring nations and form a united and prosperous Europe. Since its creation until today it has undergone significant changes in its structure and its policies, but without unfocused its main goal: to be a single market with free trade. Therefore, it is to analyze and simplify this work through its evolution making a major emphasis on reforms arranged for the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), Moreover, it also seeks to determine the most relevant effects that affected the whole community, the measures taken to improve its economic system within the framework of international trade and determine the impact of agriculture's share of GDP through an econometric model.
