Evaluación y diagnóstico del trastorno de ansiedad por separación en la infancia, análisis de un caso clínico.

Abstract

The present work consists in describing the evaluation and diagnosis process in a 5-year-old patient presenting characteristics of separation anxiety disorder. The anxiety occurs through physical and psychological manifestations product of situations or dangers that in some cases are not real, but the person considers as threatening, anxiety symptoms occur in a short period of time and the Degree of involvement is less than in anxiety disorder. In this sense the disorder of separation anxiety is characterized by the child's inability to separate from people who represent a greater attachment or emotional bond; between the symptoms that can present this bed wetting, infantilism, fear, crying, tantrums, need to sleep with the figure of greater attachment, draw constant attention, sweating, changes in food, among others. A bibliographic review of articles was carried out. scientists updated to the subject and psychological interview techniques were used to the parents, the teacher as indirect sources and the girl (direct source), the observation of the child's behavior, psychological instruments such as the SAAI Separation Anxiety Avoidance Inventory), which is the only questionnaire validated that allows to measure anxiety in children under 6 years for adequate diagnosis, with the results obtained it was shown that the girl presents the Disorder of separation anxiety.
