Abstract

Intelligence is a psychic construct that develops or evolves according to the experiences lived, making in this way the human being conscious and coherent in the learning of his daily life, being that capacity of the human being to reason, to plan, solve problems, think in abstract mode, understand complex opinions, ability to learn quickly and learn from experience. Wechsler proposed the presence of two factors, giving rise to verbal and execution tasks, the results obtained were related to the verbal intelligence, execution and total, creating scales that measure intelligence, between these is the test of WISC-V, which It encompasses verbal comprehension, fluid reasoning, visuospatial capacity, working memory and processing speed, where the primary factor that was perceptual reasoning was divided by fluid reasoning and viosoespacial capacity. expanding its specifications. This is why this essay aims to know the measurement and evaluation of intelligence for children and adolescents through the WISC test. To this end, a descriptive bibliographic review was carried out and in this way an approach to concepts and definitions found in journals and scientific articles was made. It has been tried to capture for a better understanding the importance of the test for the evaluation of intelligence in children because the knowledge about the level of intellectual intelligence of the child and the adolescent contributes in improving their quality of life.
