Abstract

Unspecified pyogenic arthritis is not registered as a threat to health in 2018, according to the WHO, in relation to cholera and influenza that have a large-scale reach, considering themselves as rotaviruses or pandemics, infecting many people, especially children, but sporadic pyogenic arthritis is not specified as signs and symptoms affect the mobility of the joints causing pain and swelling, with the knee, hip, ankle, elbow, wrist and shoulder most common, causing immobility and even death. Despite being related to arthritis with adults, in Ecuador sporadically if it is registered in pediatric patients with pyogenic arthritis not specified, in the present case it is less than 6 years old and it is necessary after the application of the respective diagnosis. of laboratory samples where the pathology caused by Streptococcus aureus was confirmed, requiring the minor to be taken to the operating room as well as the respective hospital care to provide follow-up and medication. Regarding the facts of interest, it is worth noting that the patient, once referred from a health center, is admitted for a cause and that after the analysis of the results the presence of an unspecified pyogenic arthritis is evidenced, in practice there is a reorientation of the process that led to the preparation of the operating room for the child in question.
