Causas que determinan la presencia de transporte turístico informal en la ciudad de Machala e incidencia en el turismo local.

Abstract

The tourist transport has a significant role within the local tourism, since it helps the displacement of people from one place to another generating income in the economy of a locality. The problem of this case study, is raised under the question "Does this type of transport meet the quality and safety standards, does it meet all the tourist transport needs that the user requires? The objective of this work is to determine the causes of the presence of informal tourist transport in the city of Machala and its impact on local tourism. In the research, the descriptive - inductive - deductive method was used and, as a methodological technique, the observation card, the survey and finally the interview were used. As a result of the investigation, it can be specified that one of the main reasons why the transport - informal tourism occurs is because of the location of the Terrestrial Terminal in the outskirts of the city and from this there are a number of events, such as hike in the rates of formal taxis. In the same way, it was identified that most of the vehicles comply with the quality and safety standards mentioned in the Tourist Transport Regulations.
