Abstract

The research work called "Water Pollution", addresses as its name indicates the pollution of water, a problem that is currently latent in a worrying way; water pollution occurs almost entirely by the human being, who, according to the collection of data presented in this research, we will demonstrate the relevance of it. Human beings feel an unbridled desire to create, innovate and develop new techniques or trends to improve their stay on the planet earth, and because of these innovations ravages everything in its path, creating new companies or industries which dump their waste in the environment, (in the water), without any conscience and ecological responsibility, since it produces harmful materials, exploits metals causing spills in rivers, lakes and seas. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) at least two billion people around the world have access to contaminated water and the figures continue to rise, this entity also calculates that every year between five hundred thousand people die from chronic diarrhea for consuming contaminated water. Water is perhaps the most important resource for the life of the human being, that is why it is also known as "the vital fluid", and as such it should be preserved to preserve its natural state, however, it is not having the due attention, and the excessive pollution that individuals are causing in it is affecting it, it is important that people know the damage they generate, to change the way we act and in some way be able to contribute to nature as she has contributed to us. The following research project concludes with the artistic intervention, which was considered the appropriate artistic medium, which represents this idea in a critical way, an artistic intervention that allowed us to express in a more "striking" and close to nature and viewers our ideology of addressing the contamination of water resources as a significant problem that requires attention. This project consists of some phases; For example, the first chapter develops the problem from a conceptual and historical perspective in this section, we briefly discuss how and why this situation occurs, likewise, we cite some artists who follow this ecological line and speak in their works about the contamination; the second chapter defines the work of art, how it is constituted and how it is founded In the third chapter consists of the phase of the construction of the artistic work, sketch, steps and the realization of it, finally, chapter four we explain the relevance of the work and the need of the context where it is carried out, in the same way the conclusions are exposed.
