Análisis del sistema de potabilizaciòn de agua del sitio vega rivera, Parroquia Victoria, Cantón Santa Rosa, Provincia de El Oro

Abstract

Drinking water treatment plants are fundamental infrastructures for the development of life, according to a work of transcendental importance for the population worldwide. The function of purifying water from a source with different characteristics of turbidity, flow and color, adapting it for human consumption and for use in different activities is an outline of its importance. In the present project, it is specifically sought to encompass the basic physical and microbiological parameters used in the treatment of water, such as turbidity, color, hydrogen percentage, coliforms, among others, that allow the evaluation of the operation of a treatment plant. The future demand, the current endowment, the flow and the process of filtration treatment system by multiple stages will be analyzed, in which water disinfection is included before offering it for human consumption. In addition to the theoretical framework proposed, a diagnosis of the current situation of the drinking water system of the Vega Rivera site, of the La Victoria parish, Santa Rosa canton, has been incorporated in order to evaluate its current operation and provide a technical solution for the improvement of the same, seeking thus to favor the population with a suitable water for consumption.
