Influencia del clima en las curvas de oferta y demanda del banano en la provincia de El Oro.

Abstract

This research had a quantitative approach with descriptive scope, which in turn used the main objective of analyzing the influence of the climate and its variations in the banana sector of the province of El Oro, simultaneously how this affected the displacements in the supply curves by the producers to avoid losses, as well as in the changes of demand by consumers due to the rise in banana prices. In addition, the current research, made use of the bibliographic review and data of official pages for the argumentative support and construction of the state of art and pertinent analysis; presenting as essential results, that climate variability, either due to changes in temperature or excess rainfall, generate losses to the banana sector, and therefore changes in the equilibrium point due to changes in supply and demand, especially those producers who own a few hectares of crops.
