Resumen : The construction of ponds is a very important issue that must be taken into account since there are several physical factors, such as the orientation of the ponds, the soil, the dimensions of each pond and, of course, the most important factor, which is the quality of the water. It should be mentioned that water, being the medium in which the animal (Litopenaeus vannemei) is going to grow, should have a good quality, allowing the shrimp to have a fast growth, without setbacks and free of stress, being this the main limiting factor that affects growth. In order to build an aquaculture production pond, we must pay attention to the water inlet, so that the area from where the water will be obtained or pumped does not have stagnant water, but rather, has a continuous current, thus allowing the renewal of water in each high and low sea, and its availability is essential to replace the daily expenses produced by water replacement or evaporation losses. The objective of this work is based on determining the influence that the place of water intake has on the quality of the water that will be in the culture ponds and how it affects the optimal physical-chemical and biological parameters that contribute to a pathogen-free environment, and at the same time how it affects the animals with respect to growth and health.
