Abstract

This essay focuses on the issue of Venezuelan migration or also currently known as human mobility, it is based on the reality that migrants face when they reach a new geographical space, being one of the alternatives that Venezuelan migrants find to be able to cope with poverty, the political crisis in their country of origin, generating effects on the person, their family and their socio-cultural environment, which is harmed by major transformations in their customs, habits and traditions, adapting them in the territory or in the population where they are. Ecuador has been the recipient of thousands of Venezuelans over the years, who seek economic and labor stability and social integration. On the other hand, the Ecuadorian government promotes programs in support of the socioeconomic inclusion of Venezuelan migrants and migration policies with the aim of enforcing and respecting the rights and obligations that are written in the Constitution of Ecuador. Social work and migration have a certain similarity, since it is responsible for the well-being of migrant families and their environment, Social Work develops options that stand out to achieve changes and improvements to people who are in vulnerable situations, intervention of Social Work professionals with migrants is essential to direct them towards the progress of their abilities and skills, for the improvement of a quality of life, being contributors in the new host society.
