Resumen:
The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the impact of Blockchain technology as an innovative tool to improve financial transparency and prevent the financing of terrorism. Addressing the characteristics that make up Blockchain technology such as immutability, decentralization and traceability, and its contribution in improving financial systems. In addition, it examines the benefits of implementing the Blockchain to reduce risks associated with illicit activities, as well as the challenges and limitations presented by its implementation, considering the regulatory frameworks and possibilities of new financial crimes associated with this technology. It was concluded that Blockchain technology is presented as a useful and innovative tool to improve financial transparency and prevent the financing of terrorism, but it must be accompanied by the creation of a regulatory framework to ensure its effectiveness.

El presente trabajo de titulación tiene como finalidad analizar el impacto de la tecnología Blockchain como una herramienta innovadora para mejorar la transparencia financiera y prevenir el financiamiento del terrorismo. Abordando las características que componen la tecnología Blockchain como la inmutabilidad, descentralización y trazabilidad, y su contribución en la mejora de los sistemas financieros. Además, se examina los beneficios de la implementación de la Blockchain para la reducción de riesgos asociados a actividades ilícitas, así como los desafíos y limitaciones que presenta su implementación, teniendo en cuenta los marcos normativos y posibilidades de nuevos delitos financieros asociados a esta tecnología. Se concluyo que la tecnología Blockchain se presenta como una herramienta útil e innovadora para mejorar la transparencia financiera y prevenir el financiamiento del terrorismo, pero esta debe ir acompañada con la creación de un marco normativo que aseguren su eficacia.
