The profitability of banana production is associated with economic externalities, which can become unsustainable, for which the objective has been set: to analyze through the qualitative research approach the economic externalities generated by the Banana industry in the province of El Oro ( Ecuador); The study area was the banana areas of the cities of Machala and Pasaje, the research had a qualitative approach and a non-experimental design; Information was collected through interviews and entered into the Software Atlas. Ti, version 9, to analyze the problem; Producers realize that they must improve practices through technology and these must protect the environment, so they have looked for alternatives to guarantee environmental care.

La rentabilidad de la producción bananera se asocia a externalidades económicas, que pueden llegar a ser insostenibles, por lo cual se ha planteado como objetivo: analizar mediante el enfoque cualitativo de investigación las externalidades económicas generadas por la industria Bananera en la provincia de El Oro (Ecuador); el área de estudio fueron las zonas bananeras de las ciudades de Machala y Pasaje, la investigación tuvo enfoque cualitativo y diseño no experimental; se recabó información mediante entrevistas y se ingresó al Software Atlas. Ti, versión 9, para analizar el problema; los productores se percatan que deben mejorar las prácticas mediante la tecnología y estas deben proteger al ambiente, por lo que han buscado alternativas para garantizar el cuidado ambiental.
