The Chilla canton is located in the upper part of the El Oro Province, has natural and cultural attractions of the tourism system analysis allowed to understand in a synthesized manner the supply and demand of the canton; It can be said that the objective of this research is to design a scheme of tourism planning in the Chilla canton from the diagnosis of the tourism system in the area in order to develop strategies for the tourist activities of the area in this way, through analysis FODA established the strengths and weaknesses of the area, in order thus to establish strategic plans associated with the improvement of tourist activities in the territory, applying a qualitative methodology, of This way managed to understand and analyze the virtues of each one of the attractions of the canton and through the visit insitu using MINTUR ranking sheets, using zoning as a key factor you consider.

El cantón Chilla ubicado en la parte alta de la Provincia El Oro, cuenta con atractivos naturales y culturales, el análisis del sistema turístico permitió comprender de una manera sintetizada la oferta y demanda del cantón; cabe afirmar que el objetivo de esta investigación es diseñar un esquema de planificación turística en el cantón Chilla a partir del diagnóstico del sistema turístico de la zona con el fin de desarrollar estrategias para las actividades turísticas del área de esta manera, por medio del análisis FODA se estableció las potencialidades y debilidades de la zona, para de esta manera poder establecer los planes estratégicos vinculados al mejoramiento de las actividades turísticas del territorio, aplicando una metodología cuali-cuantitativa de esta manera se logró comprender y analizar las virtudes de cada uno de los atractivos del cantón y por medio de la visita insitu utilizando las fichas de jerarquización del MINTUR, utilizando la zonificación como factor clave se consideró que el potencial turístico a desarrollarse es el turismo religioso.
