Resumen:
The Arenillas canton has an Ecological Reserve of great interest for the town and tourists, since it houses unique species of flora and fauna. The main objective of the investigation was the analysis of the environmental management plan and to establish the type of blows generated by the tourist activity; as research techniques, the interview, the observation and bibliographic review of documents were analyzed. The results that were obtained were: that the environmental management plan has been fulfilled with most of the proposed activities and programs, however certain deficiencies were found that affect the natural area, the other type of result related to the type of impact generated by The tourist was a type of negative environmental impact.

El cantón Arenillas posee una Reserva Ecológica de gran interés para la localidad y turistas, dado que alberga especies únicas de flora y fauna. El objetivo principal de la investigación fue el de evaluar el plan de manejo ambiental y establecer el tipo de impacto generado por la actividad turística; como técnicas de investigación se utilizó la entrevista, la observación y revisión bibliográfica de documentos. Los resultados que se obtuvieron fue: que el plan de manejo ambiental se ha cumplido con la mayor parte de actividades y programas propuestos, sin embargo se encontró cierta falencia que afecta al área natural, el otro tipo de resultado respecto al tipo de impacto generado por el turista fue un tipo de impacto ambiental negativo.
