Resumen:
The investigation about the Impact of Tourism on the Environment at the Playa Bajo Alto site, El Guabo city; has the purpose of identify the intrinsic relationship of tourism and its environmental impact from an evaluation of explicit factors in the Leopold Matrix: Physical and Chemical Characteristics, Services and Infrastructure. Determining that the study area thanks to its tourist flow has caused an environmental impact mainly in areas of: beach, mangrove, estuary and the sea. The presence of inorganic material and destruction of vegetation due to the expansion of urban, commercial and shrimp areas that affect the ecosystem. As a result, the problems currently presented by the tourist attraction were defined, and thus, proceed to provide solutions based on protection and conservation of natural resources. Therefore, it is established as a recommendation plans, training and implementation of regulations focused on preventing, controlling and mitigating the factors causing environmental degradation.

La investigación de Impacto del Turismo en el Medio Ambiente; sitio Playa Bajo Alto, del cantón El Guabo; tiene el propósito de identificar la relación intrínseca del turismo y su impacto medioambiental a partir de una evaluación de factores explícitos en la Matriz de Leopold: Características Físicas y Químicas, De Servicios e Infraestructura. Determinando que el área de estudio gracias a su flujo turístico ha provocado un impacto ambiental principalmente en zonas de: playa, manglar, estero y el mar. La presencia de material inorgánico y destrucción de la vegetación por expansión de zonas urbanas, comerciales y camaroneras que afecta al ecosistema. Como resultado se definieron las problemáticas que actualmente presenta el atractivo turístico, y así, proceder a dar soluciones en función de protección y conservación de recursos naturales. Por lo cual, se establece como recomendación planes, capacitaciones y aplicación de normativas enfocada en prevenir, controlar y mitigar los factores causantes de la degradación del ambiente.
