Resumen:
El presente trabajo expresa un análisis superficial del Plan de Manejo (PM) del Parque Nacional El Cajas (PNC) y se compone de tres partes. En primer lugar, expresa conceptos básicos y la importancia del ecoturismo desde la perspectiva mundial y nacional, plantea la finalidad de la investigación, la problemática y la metodología. En la segunda parte se resuelven los objetivos de la investigación, por tanto se enuncian las estrategias de planificación del PNC, se menciona la importancia de un PM para el desarrollo del ecoturismo y los problemas que se identificaron durante la elaboración del mismo. Finalmente se señalan los resultados obtenidos en la investigación y se concluye en base a los objetivos del estudio y la información descubierta, en este caso se resalta la participación del MINTUR y el MA en la conservación de las áreas protegidas de la nación, así como el enfoque sustentable que se le otorga a las actividades turísticas.

The present work expresses a superficial analysis of the Management Plan (MP) of El Cajas National Park (CNP) and is composed of three parts. First, it expresses basic concepts and the importance of ecotourism from a global and national perspective, raises the purpose of the research, the problem and the methodology. In the second part the objectives of the research are solved, therefore the CNP planning strategies are stated, the importance of a MP for the development of ecotourism and the problems that were identified during the elaboration of the same are mentioned. Finally, the results obtained in the research are indicated and concluded based on the objectives of the study and the information discovered, in this case the participation of MINTUR and the MA in the conservation of the nation's protected areas, as well as the sustainable approach that is given to tourism activities.
