dc.description	The present investigation aims to diagnose compliance with the Tourism Law and the Regulation of Tourist Accommodation in the Hostels of the City of Machala; For this work a descriptive method was used qualitative and quantitative by means of the application of surveys to the owners of the establishments of tourist accommodation type hostel, this allowed to obtain information and to verify if the establishments are complying with the legal regulations. According to the tourist cadastre of the Province of El Oro, provided by the Zonal Coordination 7 of the Ministry of Tourism of Machala, there are currently registered 20 accommodation establishments in the City of Machala. Through field research, it was possible to determine that these establishments are not complying partially with the tourist accommodation regulations, since they do not have professional staff in the operational areas, nor the numerical sufficient in the different dependencies to give a good service, In addition to the lack of facilities for people with disabilities, thus failing to comply with legal regulations, which is why guests are not being offered a quality service and this prevents the growth of the hotel sector in the City.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	La presente investigación tiene como objetivo diagnosticar el cumplimiento de la ley de turismo y el reglamento de alojamiento turístico en los hostales de la Ciudad de Machala; para este trabajo se utilizó un método descriptivo tipo cualitativo y cuantitativo a través de la aplicación de encuestas a los propietarios de los establecimientos de alojamiento turístico tipo hostal, esto permitió obtener información y constatar si los establecimientos están cumpliendo con la normativa legal. Según el catastro turístico de la Provincia de El Oro, proporcionado por la coordinación zonal 7 del Ministerio de Turismo de Machala, actualmente se encuentran catastrados 20 establecimientos de hospedaje tipo hostal en la Ciudad de Machala. A través de la investigación de campo se pudo determinar que dichos establecimientos no están cumpliendo parcialmente con el reglamento de alojamiento turístico, ya que no cuentan con personal profesional en las áreas operativas, ni el numérico suficiente en las diferentes dependencias para dar un buen servicio, además de la carencia de instalaciones para personas con discapacidades incumpliendo de esta forma la normativa legal, razones por las cuales no se está ofreciendo a los huéspedes un servicio de calidad y esto impide el crecimiento del sector hotelero en la Ciudad.	es_ES
