Descripción : La presente investigación tiene el propósito de profundizar en el estudio de los síntomas, diagnóstico y tratamiento del estrés postraumático TEPT mediante la revisión bibliográfica de artículos y revistas científicas publicados en los últimos 5 años 2017- 2022. Las consecuencias que el estrés postraumático causa en el ser humano pueden llegar a ser catastróficas, como lo es los sentimientos de angustia y la preocupación ante eventos traumáticos que perjudican notablemente la salud física y psicológica del individuo, afectando la hiperactivación y respuesta adrenérgica en el sistema nervioso autónomo. Resultando importante el diagnóstico correcto basado en la sintomatología presente como, síntomas de pensamientos intrusivos, síntomas de evasión, hipervigilancia y reactividad, y síntomas cognitivos y del estado de ánimo, utilizando manuales diagnósticos con fundamentos relevantes en trastornos mentales, por ejemplo, el DSM-V y CIE-10. Finalmente, se da el tratamiento de TEPT con la misión de hacer una intervención personalizada debido al nivel de daño psicológico que cada sujeto experimenta en cuanto al trauma, por lo que es conveniente hablar del enfoque cognitivo conductual como método terapéutico por su alto historial de eficacia en tratamientos de TEPT y las técnicas que emplean para ayudar a mejorar la autoestima, daño psíquico y perspectiva favorable del trauma.
Resumen : The purpose of this research is to deepen the study of the symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder PTSD through the bibliographic review of articles and scientific journals published in the last 5 years 2017-2022. The consequences that post-traumatic stress causes in humans can be catastrophic, as is the feeling of anguish and concern about traumatic events that significantly harm the physical and psychological health of the individual, affecting hyperactivation and adrenergic response in the immune system. autonomic nervous. The correct diagnosis based on the present symptomatology is important, such as, symptoms of intrusive thoughts, symptoms of avoidance, hypervigilance and reactivity, and cognitive and mood symptoms, using diagnostic manuals with relevant foundations in mental disorders, for example, the DSM- V and ICD-10. Finally, PTSD treatment is given with the mission of making a personalized intervention due to the level of psychological damage that each subject experiences in terms of trauma, so it is convenient to talk about the cognitivebehavioral approach as a therapeutic method due to its high history of efficacy in PTSD treatments and the techniques they use to help improve self-esteem, psychic damage and favorable perspective of trauma.
