Resumen : The global situation that since 2020 has been affecting the area of Health with the arrival of COVID-19 and since 2021 its variants, directly affecting the area of education, so educational institutions have been forced to take the necessary measures to prevent the spread of the virus until the authorities determine it. The new normality as it is mentioned today, makes us leave our comfort zone to learn and adapt to new environments with the use and management of different platforms and existing educational tools. Virtual Reality (VR) and Virtual Learning Environments (VLE), are tools that in these times have been strengthened by virtual classes and have adapted to the needs that exist today, thus having a space where this serves as reinforcement for students for classes, since being an environment available 24 hours a day, they can resort to it asynchronously for the review of any material seen or reviewed in class. The present research project aims to strengthen the development of the basic skills: "Grammar and Vocabulary, Reading and Listening" of the English subject in the second year of high school, for which the design of a Virtual Learning Environment with Non-immersive Virtual Reality called VR-English Space was proposed, which is conformed as follows; Environment 1 (Welcome): This environment was designed so that the user has a start menu, where entering a tower where he goes up the stairs of a tower and in its course he will find shields that when clicking on them will transport them to the different environments. Environment 2 (Grammar and Vocabulary): In this virtual environment was designed based on an educational fair, where the user will find different content embodied in infographics, has a tour guided by programmed avatars, they will also find self-assessments where the user will be able to see their progress in achieving their knowledge. Environment 3 (Reading): It is set in a pirate style as a ship was placed to leave the traditional and awaken the creative side of the user, here are several readings which propose the user to have a comprehensive reading of the texts placed and then answer the questions that the avatars have for them. Environment 4 (Listening): It was developed with a space theme where the user will find avatars such as astronauts and spaceships in which audiovisual material is found and in turn questionnaires about the material reviewed above. This research has a qualitative and quantitative approach, so for data collection surveys and an interview were conducted and having the perspectives of the teacher and students, after the two experiences, for the development of the content of this prototype, it was based on the planning provided by the teacher of the educational institution, while for the development of research and design of the prototype was used the ADDIE Model in which we developed all its phases which are: Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate.
