Resumen : The adolescent stage is characterized mainly by the presence of physical and psychological changes; when analyzing psychological changes, reference is made to the recognition of emotions that the adolescent must develop during this period; however, on more than one occasion it is a real challenge to express emotions and be able to express them without any kind of fear, this is known as emotional adjustment, which consists of being able to express and control emotions in any type of circumstance; however, internal and external factors must be considered to allow for optimal communication and behavioral management. To this end, adolescents must develop certain skills in terms of perspective and empathy with themselves and with those around them, so that their emotions tend to be much more controllable and do not generate any type of risk or limitation in decision-making and the search for their own well-being in terms of their mental health. The objective of this research is to describe the factors involved in the emotional adjustment problems of adolescents in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, this objective is achieved through the respective literature review, thus concluding that the main factors influencing emotional adjustment range from family dynamics, education, effective communication of emotions and the internal and external perspective maintained by the adolescent to face any type of situation, together with adequate knowledge and management of emotions.
