Recurso tecnológico virtual que promueva el pasado, presente y futuro del Colegio de Bachillerato Nueve de Octubre

Abstract

On the Internet there are many websites created for very different purposes, you can find sites related to news, entertainment, business, health, games, etc. Not all the information found on the network is reliable or true since there are many sites that are created with the purpose of capturing data from the people who enter these sites, and then be sold to third parties, other sites are virus propagators, the same ones that can enter the computer of whoever visits the website and cause irreversible damage or simply steal information stored on their disks. Although it is true, the technological development of humanity advances by leaps and bounds, technological products appear every day that allow us to lead a slightly more comfortable life. Technology benefits all fields where it is applied, whether in industry, at home, in sports, in medicine, in education, etc. The present work is based on the development of a technological resource applied to the field of education. This project is based on the construction of a website that allows us to know the institutional trajectory of the emblematic High School "Nueve de Octubre", this resource makes known to the community in general, the past of the institution through a review history that relives the most important moments of this centenary school, makes us know the present through the publication of educational, social and cultural activities that take place daily inside and outside the institution and, allows us to project ourselves into the future in the educational field since it is proposed as a virtual learning tool giving greater opportunities to those who wish to educate themselves but who unfortunately cannot do it in person. This project was born from the need of the October educational community, who want the contribution to education made by this institution to be known throughout the country. Obtaining the necessary information to show the history of the campus had some difficult passages, but thanks to a small work, prepared by Prof. Voltaire Medina Orellana in 2011 entitled "COLEGIO NACIONAL NUEVE DE OCTUBRE, Vanguardia de la Educación and Orense culture ”, served as the main source to find out the correct information and in this way it could be published on the website. Similarly, the help of teachers, former students and some other members of the October community was required, who collaborated with photographic evidence of many of the activities that took place at the school.

The tools used to build this resource are licensed under the GNL (General Public License) better known as free software tools, or open educational resources. Wordpress was chosen as the main tool to develop the website, because it is an easy-to-use environment and it is also possible to carry out attractive, well-prepared works without having knowledge of any programming language since it is not necessary for whoever uses it you must enter a single line of code.
