| Descripción : | El presente estudio trata acerca de la certificación del comercio justo y lo que debe hacer una finca bananera para poder acceder a los beneficios de este nuevo sistema comercial alternativo. Su finalidad principal fue evaluar el proceso productivo y demás ítems que componen la lista de verificación de la Hacienda Bananera Porvenir, la misma que está ubicada en la Parroquia Buenavista, cantón Pasaje. La certificación aportaría grandes beneficios para la plantación porque se encarga no solo de regular el precio, sino también aporta en lo social y lo ambiental. Esto se lo realizaría mediante la observación in-situ para determinar si la plantación es apta o no para la certificación. El enfoque principal de la investigación es mixto, es decir, es cualitativa y cuantitativa porque se enfoca en describir el sujeto de estudio de forma holística, aplicando métodos como la entrevista y observaciones in-situ. En la parte de cuantitativa, se debe a que también se utilizaron las tabulaciones del checklist para conocer qué porcentaje de cumplimiento tiene la hacienda bananera. Debido a las herramientas aplicadas, se obtuvo que la plantación cumple con el 97,4% del total de todos los ítems necesarios para la certificación, y que incumple con el 2,6% del checklist. Esto nos quiere decir que, a pesar de no cumplir con todos los ítems la finca aún podría certificarse debido a que solo necesita cumplir con al menos un 80% del total y luego aplicar los debidos correctivos, los cuales se pueden observar en el plan de acción. |
| Resumen : | This study deals with fair trade certification and what a banana farm must do to be able to access the benefits of this new alternative commercial system. Its main purpose was to evaluate the production process and other items that make up the checklist of the Banana Farm Porvenir, which is located in the Buenavista Parish, Pasaje canton. The certification would bring great benefits for the plantation because it is responsible not only for regulating the price, but also contributes socially and environmentally. This would be done through on-site observation to determine whether or not the plantation is suitable for certification. The main focus of the research is mixed, that is, it is qualitative and quantitative because it focuses on describing the study subject holistically, applying methods such as interviews and in-situ observations. In the quantitative part, it is because the tabulations of the checklist were also used to know what percentage of compliance the banana farm has. Due to the applied tools, it was obtained that the plantation complies with 97.4% of the total of all the items necessary for certification, and that it fails to comply with 2.6% of the checklist. This means that, despite not complying with all the items, the farm could still be certified because it only needs to comply with at least 80% of the total and then apply the correct corrective measures, which can be observed in the plan of action. |
