To carry out the technical project on porous asphalt mixtures, we obtained the stone materials from the San Luis river located in the Victorio Cantón parish of the city of Santa Rosa, quarry of the Machala Provincial Council, while the asphalt bitumen was acquired from the plant of Asphalt of the Decentralized Autonomous Government of Machala. In the development of the technical project, through the MARSHALL method, traditional asphalt mixes and porous asphalt mixtures were designed for light traffic, where the results of each laboratory test were made in the Academic Unit of Civil Engineering, verifying the physical properties and mechanical, to carry out this process we obtained the results of the abrasion of their materials through the AASHTO T96 standard, the granulometry through the AASHTO T27 standard and for its design we use the AASHTO T245 where we find its resistance to plastic creep. After several dosages carried out in the Civil Engineering Academic Unit and under the tutelage of Ing. Jorge Paul Cabrera Gordillo, it was determined by means of the Charts that the porous asphalt mix design meets the MARSHAL design criteria with a stability of 1475 pounds. with the MARSHALL criterion that stipulates a minimum range of 1000 pounds, a fluidity of 9.25 / 100 in. being within the parameter of (8/100 to 16/100) in, a void of 23.10% should be in a range of 15% to 25%, for an optimum asphalt percentage of 6.1%, with 35% of coarse aggregate 3 / 4, with 60% of the aggregate 3/8, and with 5% of sand but obtaining less capacity than the traditional asphalt mix design, with a stability of 2460 pounds, fluidity of 12.10 / 100, gaps of 3.75% owing be from 3% to 5%, for an optimum asphalt percentage of 6.4%, with 30% coarse aggregate 3/4, with 30% of the aggregate 3/8, with 25% sand and 15% dust of rock. The consistency of asphalt cement that was within the parameter of 60 to 70 was determined according to the degree of asphalt cement resulting in 64.5%. The dimensions of the briquettes were 4 inches in diameter and a height of 2.5 inches, using a correction factor in the briquettes that did not reach the estimated height. These designs of porous asphalt mixtures have advantages and disadvantages, among them the environmental advantages, of which we can highlight their main function of filtration avoiding floods and the ability to reuse their runoff, another of the advantages is the adherence of asphalt mixtures porous towards the tire avoiding frequent traffic accidents due to consecutive rains considered very important for the welfare of society. In the disadvantages we highlight the economic reason for these projects, where their operational maintenance is higher than the maintenance that should be given to the roads containing traditional asphalt mixtures, another disadvantage is considered at the time of life that manifests these types of asphalt mixtures , due to the detachment of its particles in the course of time caused by runoff.es_ES
