Etiología de la enuresis en niñez intermedia

Abstract

Enuresis is defined as the involuntary urination that occurs during sleep hours, it is established that the infant is enuretic from 3 years of age, the etiology is oriented to the analysis of three factors: genetic, psychological and contextual; affects the infant to the family and the direct caregiver; children who suffer from enuresis are the object of ridicule from classmates, siblings and relatives, predisposing to situations of emotional and physical abuse. Enuresis is related to other pathologies that affect urination, such as sleep disorders, digestive and urological system conditions; treatment begins with psychoeducation to the child and parents about the condition, reeducation of urinary behavior, and guidance to parents. Enuresis can be combined interventions such as psychoeducation, behavioral therapy (training), individual psychotherapy, couple for parents and family, urotherapy and pharmacological or surgical treatment if necessary.
