Descripción : La enuresis se la define como la micción involuntaria que se da durante las horas del sueño, se establece que el infante es enurético a partir de 3 años de edad, la etiología está orientada al análisis de tres factores: genético, psicológico y contextual; afecta al infante a la familia y al cuidador directo; los niños que padecen de enuresis son objeto de burla de compañeros, hermanos y familiares, predisponiendo a situaciones de abuso emocional y físico. La enuresis está relacionada con otras patologías que afectan la micción, como trastornos del sueño, afecciones del sistema digestivo y urológico; el tratamiento inicia con la psicoeducación al niño y padres acerca de la afección, reeducación de la conducta urinaria, y orientación a los padres. En la enuresis se pueden combinar intervenciones como psicoeducación, terapia conductual (entrenamiento), psicoterapia individual, de pareja para padres y familiar, uroterapia y tratamiento farmacológico o quirúrgico de ser necesario.
Resumen : Enuresis is defined as the involuntary urination that occurs during sleep hours, it is established that the infant is enuretic from 3 years of age, the etiology is oriented to the analysis of three factors: genetic, psychological and contextual; affects the infant to the family and the direct caregiver; children who suffer from enuresis are the object of ridicule from classmates, siblings and relatives, predisposing to situations of emotional and physical abuse. Enuresis is related to other pathologies that affect urination, such as sleep disorders, digestive and urological system conditions; treatment begins with psychoeducation to the child and parents about the condition, reeducation of urinary behavior, and guidance to parents. Enuresis can be combined interventions such as psychoeducation, behavioral therapy (training), individual psychotherapy, couple for parents and family, urotherapy and pharmacological or surgical treatment if necessary.
