In the farm San Julio, located in the place San Fernando, belonging to the canton Machala, province of El Oro, realized the field investigation: Forms of herculizado in the farming of banana tree, by means of the use of a manual tool so called hércules, the investigation initiated it appearing the following targets: 1. To determine the best form of herculización in the banana tree opposite to the son. 2 To establish the effect of the number of passes of herculizado in the banana tree. 3 to realize an economic analysis. The variety used for this study was giant Cavendish, with the hércules the soil was proceeded to remove in the field of the crown. The Factors of study were, Factor To; Passes of the hércules: Three passes (a1), four passes (a2), five passes (a3), Factor B; Straight ahead to 30 cm. (B1), Straight ahead to 30 and 60 cm. (B2), Sideways (b3). The evaluated variables went, mass radicular to the beginning and end, percentage of organic matter to the beginning and end, Percentage of porosity to the beginning and end, children height to 30, 60, 90 and 120 days, thickness of the pseudostem of the son to 30, 60, 90 and 120 days, number of sheets of the son to 30, 60, 90 and 120 days, days to the calving., area to foliate., height of the comeback to the moment of the crop, number of hands of the bunch and weight of the bunch. The experimental design that was used was Blocks to the Hazard, with arrangement factorial of 3 x 3 more a witness and four repetitions. In the statistical analyses regarding growth height, to foliate of the plant, days to the emission to foliate, thickness of the stem, area did not obtain statistical significance for treatments therefore the treatments did not influence these agronomic descriptors. The cultural practice of removing the soil by means of the tool “Hércules “, help to changes in porosity, and increase of the mass radicular of the plants. The growth in height, thickness of the pseudostems, area to foliate, days to the calving, the implementation of the herculización did not provoke change significant, The weight of the bunch harvested with removal of the soil with the manual tool “Hércules “increased in sustainable form up to 7 lb / bunch with 8 hands and the herculización in terms of labour needed by hectare changes between 1.5 2.0 wage per day hectare, depending on the structure and texture of the soil.es_ES
